Paul Rowe
Mr. Paul Rowe serves as Director of Bands at Apex Friendship High School. Mr. Rowe attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and graduated on the President’s List with his Bachelors of Arts at Rollins Collins in Winter Park, Florida. As a native Floridian, Mr. Rowe’s extensive marching background began as a 3 year member in Tampa Bay’s Suncoast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps. During this time he played Lead Soprano and in 2006 joined Carolina Gold Senior Drum and Bugle Corps as the Brass Captain Head and then went on to march as Soprano Soloist. Prior to his teaching at Apex High School, Mr. Rowe worked 14 years for the Walt Disney World Company as a member of the infamous group “Future Corps”; Epcot’s very own Drum and Bugle Corps. Beyond his role as leader of Future Corps, Mr. Rowe also played Mellophone and Soprano, arranged music and designed show choreography. As a Guest Conductor and Clinician, Mr. Rowe was also part of the Instrumental Music Workshop in the Magic Music Days Festival Program. Mr. Rowe continued his passion in multiple arenas of teaching as a drill designer, adjudicator and a marching/ brass instructor. In conjunction to his career at Walt Disney World, Mr. Rowe has traveled around the world with performance highlights in Tokyo, Yokohama and Kyoto, Japan. Other notable performances have included the Music Educators National Convention Washington D. C., International Association of Jazz Educators Convention, multiple DCI Championships and the World Premier of Disney’s animated film “Pocahontas” in Central Park, NY. In addition, he has performed as a guest artist on recordings that included “Epcot’s Holiday Candlelight Processional” and “The Future of Corps”.
